ASR GREEN 4 GREEN INSTALLATION

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

The Glue Network presented GREEN 4 GREEN: a Live Art Installation and Poker Tournament held at ASR (Action Sports Retailer) Trade Expo September 7-9, to inspire brands and attendees to take action toward a more environmentally conscious world. The live art installation raised funds for ISM: A Community Project.

At the main Green 4 Green booth 22 top industry artists collaborated to create four 16 foot long by 8 foot tall murals showing an environmental timeline. The 1970s mural was painted by Ekundayo, Joshua Clay, KMNDZ, Seizer One and Zoso; the 1980s mural was painted by Brent Sandor, Dave Ross, Mark Murphy, Matt Stallings, and Plasticgod; the 1990s was painted by Bigfoot, Brandon Francis, Brent Harada, Jay Steiner, Marco Zamora and Tommii Lim, and the 2000 and Beyond painted by Eric Trine, Jesse kerr, Kelli Murray of Jedidiah, Mear One, Mike Maxwell and Patrick Martinez. The murals will be sold on ebay (details to come) and the proceeds will go to ISM: A Community Project!

ALSO: A 15 foot tall metal tree sculpture created by Mark Gerardi was decorated with dollar donations to make the Money Tree grow green over the weekend. The donations were part of a raffle where a Vespa, an alternate form of transportation was given away as a prize. Attendees could buy shirts screen-printed live or other Green 4 Green merchandise, individually painted Harvey’s bags and art pieces brought in from ISM as part of the Untitled Love Project. The Zoo York Institute and Keep A Breast Foundation also decorated areas.
