In the tradition of pairing contrasts in order to create new mediums of expression, ISM: a community project presents, “SK8OLOGY” an exhibition that combines skateboard counter culture with the world of fine art.

Held on Saturday August 23, 2008 the ISM gallery hosted the opening exhibition, showcasing over 150 creative deck canvases from some of the most poignant and significant active artists and professional skaters. The show  travels now to San Diego September 4-6 for the Action Sports Retailer (ASR) Trade Show and off to Florida September 12-14 for the Surf Expo.

Contributing artists and professional skaters donated their creative deck canvases to raise awareness and resources in an effort to support Now That You Know, a non-profit organization that helps to provide ambitious girls from developing countries a secure environment for learning and growth. Proceeds also contributed to benefiting the youth of our society through the artistic enrichment of our community.

We at Jedidiah have been HARD at work the past few months developing our Spring 2009 line. I am proud to say it’s the best one yet!

…and wanted to give you all a sneak peek into what you can expect to see in stores next season.  August 25th-27th we head to the MAGIC show in Las Vegas.  The MAGIC Marketplace is the preeminent trade event in the international fashion industry, hosting global buyers and sellers of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, footwear, accessories and sourcing resources.  MAGIC is where new trends surface and develop into what will be seen on the consumer.  The Jedidiah booth will be located in the section S.L.A.T.E  (Select, Lifestyle, Apparel, Trends, Emergence); a 40,000 square foot juried fashion forward event to showcase established and emerging skate, surf and street lifestyle brands.  This is the first year for magic to launch this new section and we are excited to be a part of it!

Closely following Magic on September 4th-6th, we head to the ASR convention in San Diego to showcase the new line. ASR brings together thousands of the top retailers ranging from surf, skate, snow and swim shops, to fashion boutiques and mass chain stores and distributors from around the world. Check back for updates on these events!!

Sezio is an art movement.  It provides resources, exposure and community support to artists.  It began as a group of friends all with different artistic talents…who decided to take their gifts and share and cultivate them with their local community.  Their first objective is to inspire creativity.  They host events to showcase a variety of art and music and hope that they can inspire guests to go home and create something themselves.  Genius.
