JUNK-LOVERS
This last weekend Sam and I took a little trip up to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena. Since San Diego is seriously lacking in the “quality thrift” department, it’s always worth the two hour treck to see what goodies we can find in LA. I went with the hopes of finding some home goods. (You know you are getting old when you get more excited about buying things for your house than you do for yourself). A few things on my list were a media stand (for our bedroom), some cool vintage side table, wall decor, and maybe some cute odds and ends to decorate my shelves. After trolling the home section forever and not finding what I wanted, I threw in the towel and headed to clothes and shoes! I was surprised at how much stuff they had for guys too! Sam HATES to shop. And I mean HATES it. He buys everything online because he can’t stand malls and crowds of people and “hustle & bustle”. But here, I noticed him actually enjoying himself, and even walked away with a few things in his bag. It was a successful day! I love days like this, just me and my hubs….and loots of vintage.
I was dying over these baby shoes. The guy was just asking way too much. How cute would they be on a shelf in the nursery!?
Where do you thrift? Any secret spots near or around San Diego that you’d like to share!?

Kelli..I so wish I was there with you!!! This is what I love doing the most!!! Were the prices pretty pricey or reasonable?
Xx you’re so amazing

Beth, I wish you were with me too!! It’s totally hit or miss there. Some sellers are super reasonable and others are ridiculous. More I would say though are on the affordable side. One day we will go thrifting together….ONE day!
xoxo.

Hi Kellie,
The next time you are in LA, stop by my store in Silver Lake. We run a website out of our store and we do all of the photography right there. We have tons of amazing vintage pieces that I think you would love. It would be fun to shoot you in a few looks for your blog (and ours!). Check out our website, and if you like our vintage styling we can set up a date! Brandy

If you’re ever in the neighborhood of Pasadena, check out Acts Thrift Store on Hill. All the proceeds go to charity and it is run by Lake Ave Church! (BTW) love your blog & your art, you are such an inspiration!
