HALLOWEEN INSPIRED ILLUSTRATION

So we were kind of party poopers last night because we had already spent all our halloween fun over the weekend.  We stayed home, watched Halloween (the obvious choice), and ate most of the candy the trick-or-treaters never came by to claim.  I did however get around to doing an illustration inspired by the holiday (and our costumes).  I am thinking in a few months I will dye my hair this lavender color too! Not permanent of course (I could never commit to such a drastic change).  But I think this ashy purple is such a pretty shade for winter.  I’ve been pinning images like this and this for reference later.  Am I crazy for loving it?  Lucky for me, I have a sister who is willing to experiment with me!  But she is due to have her third baby in a few weeks, so reluctantly, my hair maintenance will have to go elsewhere for the next few months.  *sigh.  But when she is back in business, you (and I) just might be in for a surprise!  Hope you all had a fun, safe Halloween!

the purple looks amazing! have you done any research on what product to use to get a temporary color? I have been wanted to try out something crazy for a while, but can’t seem to find any hair color that is genuinely temporary, all of them say semi-permanent. Do you know about any hair colors that can be washed out in a couple of showers? Thanks!

I’ll ask my sister and let you know Aspen! She’s the expert. I’ve dyed just the tips of my hair purple in the past….and it actually washed out faster than I wanted. I’m hoping to get something that stays for a month or so…I’ll let you know.

Aspen – the temporary color she uses is Paul Mitchell Ink Works….and I guess it comes out after a couple washes!
