SEQUIN DOTS & A BANG DILEMMA

I almost never wear sequins.  But when I spotted this polka-dot sequin top on sale at J.Crew, it was love at first sight.  Sequin polka-dots!?! I mean, common.  My favorite way to wear it is layered with a collar.

So…my bangs.  They are at the stage where I want to chop them off again.  This always happens.  I decide to grow them out, and every time they get to be just past my eyes, I can’t stand them anymore…..and off they go.  What do you say? Keep em or cut em?  I kind of miss my blunt cut.

i’m still in the process of trying to grow mine out but it is dang hard! i loved my blunt bangs too! so far my key advice would be to avoid looking at old pictures of yourself with bangs.. haha it’s like bangs are an ex-boyfriend that you’re trying to get over or something, i swear!

    ahhh it’s so true! haha

I love your blunt cut, bit you’re also sweet like that… I can’t make a choice for you !
(but I agree with kelle, bangs are like ex-boyfriend !)
Your lipstick is gorgeous, could you please tell me what it is ?

  4. Charlotte @ Midnight Caramel Says:

Ah, the everlasting bang dilemna! I like both looks on you, even if I really like blunt bangs (I recently redid mine). Very helpful comment, I know. :)

I agree you look awesome either way. I think the bangs are a great look for you, but sometimes change is nice. You could always keep growing them, and then chop them off later. If I could get mine to look as good as you, then I’d probably keep them, but as soon as they get into my eyes I style them off my face. Then I miss them, cut them again, and then complain I can’t get them to look right xxx

Sometimes it’s nice to grow your bangs out before the summer comes so once the hot weather arrives, you can pull your hair completely off your face with no fuss or muss! But, you always seem to live with nice weather so, maybe that advice doesn’t apply to you! lol

Either way, I would grow them out and see if you like it once they are gone and if you don’t, the process is super easy to undo…just a quick snip!!

I say grow them! They look like they already have some great length to them and you will look gorgeous no matter what. I’m in the process of growing mine. It’s not THAT bad. And if I keep cutting them then I will never get them to where I want them to be so whenever I feel the urge to re-bang I remind myself it will be worth it!

  8. Jenn Says:

I agree with Kristin! Grow them out before summer! If your still unsure then you can chop them but keep growing them girl! They look cute like this! I haven’t seen them grown out so that would be cool!…helpful? I hope so!

Love your sequined top & the blouse under it!

  10. Monica Says:

I rarely wear sequins as well, but that J.Crew top is a pretty one. The blouse underneath is a great combination with the top. Bangs look great on you, so I say keep ‘em – just maybe a little trim. I’ve always been jealous of girls with bangs because they just never seem to shape my face the way I like.

  11. Jess Dynarski Says:

I really love that top! Now onto the never ending battle of bangs, I always get frustrated and cute mine so they’re never longer than my nose. I spent my whole life with no bangs because my hair was always the same length. So now that I’ve got bangs I always want to keep them. I think that you look great either way but I really love your bangs. They’re really fun!

Love your long bangs! At least try them out for awhile. You can ALWAYS cut them but it takes a bit to grow them and you might like it more. :)

I love the blunt cut, but you look sooo pretty with long bangs. It’s good to start the New Year with a diffferent look. Especially a pretty one.

Grow them! Bangs are great, but so is a new look. You just have to push through that in between length and then you’ll love it!
