FUZZY HEART

Heart Sweater c/o Sheinside  //  Pants – Ella Moss  //  Shoes – Nine West

The weather has been playing tricks on us here.  A few days ago it was 80 degrees and sunny (hence my last post).  And today it’s cold and rainy.  I keep thinking my warm sweater’s have seen their last days (until next winter)….but out they come again.  Although I’ll never complain about wearing this one too much.  It’s been such a strange couple of months.  But there is something about the rain that inspires me creatively.  Pushes me to get out my paints, put on a good record, and just create.  Probably because it’s just a good excuse to stay inside…but it’s honestly the best feeling.  I forget about my to-do lists and the hecticness that fills my mind so often, and I get lost in the process.  Days like today remind me to slow down, and to appreciate the gift of art.  It’s always been my outlet.  And I’ve been trying to give myself the freedom to “get lost” more often.  Lord knows we all need that escape sometimes.  What is your outlet?  Where does your mind run free…and where do you feel most inspired!?  I’d love to hear.

I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.

My space of inspiration: when the house is dark and the girls are all in bed, I head to my closet, turn on the light, close the door. The computer goes on and I listen to to Sucre. I just draw or knit. Or look at my clothes.

This may be one of my favorite looks of yours.
It’s funny, when it’s raining or dreary I can’t concentrate on my art work at all. It’s days like that when I get crafty/diy crazy instead. I guess crafts require less intellectual strain? I don’t know but they are my favorite way to spend rainy days : )

Haha Kari! Crafts are always good on a rainy day too. And I always want to bake cookies for some reason. It’s weird. ha!

rainy days are the best for that! i’d really love some sun and the ability to shed my jacket, though!

My outlet is playing and writing songs on my ukelele and guitar. I have to have some alone time in order for it to really work its magic but it always gets my creativite juices flowing. From there ideas just kind of spiral around my head until I let them out.

    Kisses,

Spring weather is always tricky (even though its ‘technically’ not spring yet). I love rain too. Something about it is definitely inspiring. Sometimes going into a coffee shop and sitting down with a good book, or a blog reader and a new beverage on the side is great inspiration for me.
