Over the last few months Sam and I have gotten to know the good folks behind Orn Hansen, a beautifully curated general store up in Orange County. It has much of the same aesthetic and brand values as Lone Flag, only infusing more vintage and homeware. They recently collaborated with one of my favorite current designers, Lisa of Hackwith Design on a few exclusive pieces for their shop. And this romper is one of them. It’s inspired by vintage playsuits from the 1940’s and made in the perfect shade of blue/grey. The thing I love about Lisa’s designs is their simplicity and versatility. She sews each piece by hand in her Minneapolis studio and creates less than 25 of each piece, making all of her clothes rare and special.
You can purchase this exclusive Hackwith playsuit HERE. I know you will love it as much as I do. And for one week, receive 20% off any purchase at Orn Hansen with code kelli20.
It’s not much longer that I can get away with anything with a waistline, so I am taking advantage of it while I still can! :) Happy weekend friends!
You may have already heard through instagram, but Sam and I are thrilled to announce we are having a baby boy! We couldn’t be more excited! It’s taken a little while for it to fully sink in…..I mean, I’ve been in girl mode for almost 3 years now! And while I obviously knew a boy was a possibility, I was more shocked than I thought I’d be when I saw….”it”….on the screen! We’ve had a boy name picked out for a while now, so I love that I can already call him by his name…Cru Larson. Middle name is still TBD. I’ve been doing
a little a lot of online hunting to familiarize myself with the boy side of things. I’ve come to realize it’s definitely more of a challenge, and comes a lot less naturally to me. I’m sure I’ll find my way soon enough! Until then, suggestions are welcome!
I’m 20 weeks now and his kicks keep getting stronger. They started out as little flutters, but have grown so strong to where I can see him moving from the outside. It’s my favorite part of pregnancy, and I can’t say there is much I love about being pregnant other than feeling him move and knowing what I will be gaining at the end of this journey. Some women feel great and love the process, but I am not one of those women. I meticulously count down the days until the finale. This second pregnancy has been better in some ways, and harder in others. The nausea is less frequent and less intense (with Rylee I had to stay on medication my entire pregnancy to curb the sickness that never went away). But my body is more tired and achy, and most of the time, I just feel like an 80% version of myself. BUT, I’m half way there. And the thought of snuggling with him and kissing his cheeks make every discomfort worth it. Still, Sept. 12th can’t come soon enough.
Happy Easter everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying today with family and friends. We are spending the afternoon at the beach (surprise surprise) and then back to grandma’s for an egg hunt and a honey baked ham. Rylee and I were spoiled with these outfits from Tysa Designs last week, and we couldn’t be more in love. I am wearing the Eagle Dress and Rylee is wearing one of their children’s rompers. She has honestly never gotten more compliments on an outfit than she has with this one. I gotta say, we’re pretty smitten too.
We got so lucky with such perfect beach weather this weekend. We took our new Quinny Buzz Xtra stroller out for a spin yesterday morning to check the surf and let Rylee play in the water for a bit. This stroller is a dream. It’s so compact and easy to use, it makes quick trips like this a breeze. And a stroller that can tackle the sand is one to be commended. Below is a quick video that shows you how simple opening and closing this stroller really is! Gotta love that hydraulic system. Next on my list is a compatible infant carseat for new baby!
Rylee and I got to be a part of this bohemian inspired shoot for Glitter Guide a couple weeks ago, along with some of our favorite mamas and little ones. The shoot came together with the help of creative mind Tori Hendrix of Sitting in Tree, inspired by music festivals, motherhood, and the bohemian lifestyle. It was such a fun day for all of us!
