Happy one year to Cru!  It feels like this year flew by in the blink of an eye.  But on the same hand, it’s hard to remember life without this sweet boy.  What a blessing he has been to our family!  First birthday’s are always a little bitter sweet for me.  Coming to grips with the fact that my baby is growing up.  Time passes by too quickly and I wish I could just press pause sometimes and savor each season of life a bit more.  But on and on it goes.  Cru is a true mama’s boy….which I am enjoying to the fullest since Ry has always been my independent one.  To feel needed by him is to feel loved, and I’ll never ever deny those extra snuggles as long as he is wanting them!  He’s so easy going and you don’t have to work hard at all to get him to smile.  I love that about him.  Everywhere we go, he makes people smile. Cru has a mighty healthy appetite as well, which has turned into the running joke of our family.  He can eat more than his sister most of the time and he is just half the size.  But even though we laugh about his “chunk” (Rylee still calls him Bubba),  I know that one day, I’ll be really sad when I have to see all those baby rolls disappear!  We decided to throw him a ‘Wild Thing” themed first birthday party, because despite his easy going demeanor 90% of the time, this boy does have a wild streak and a quick temper which brings out what we call his “monster growls”.  Sounds I have only heard come from Cru!  We celebrated with close friends and family in a park near our home.  I feel so blessed with the amount of love that surrounds our son.  He doesn’t know how good he’s got it yet, but I know one day he will.  Happy Birthday Cru, we love you more than you can imagine!  And thank you to my dear friend Jackie for capturing his special day!

Hi Kelli! My little one is about to turn one and your beautiful party is an inspiration! May I ask where the little black and white inflatable balls came from? Did you make them?

I am planning a similarly themed party for my little boy and would love to know what size the beach balls were that you used? (6″?) And what did you use to paint them with?

    Thank you! xoxo Bryna

I am throwing my twins a Where The Wild Things Are 1st Birthday Bash in a few weeks and obsessed with everything about your babes party! Especially loving those furry ears for a photo booth prop and can’t seem to find them on Oriental Trading like you had posted (along with the pinata). Any chance you happen to know who else might have them!?

Hi! I was just wondering if you could tell me what the black and white tree blanket is called? On Fawne Shoppe they have two.. the Gran Muslin Blanket and the Gran Child Blanket. Just wondering which one is in your photos! Also, is it black with white trees on the other side?? Thanks so much!!! :)
