LOGO DESIGN : LOU & LEE

Monday, August 13th, 2012

Known fact : Rylee has worn a headband every day since birth.  She now thinks they are part of her head.

Ha! Not entirely true.  But close.  If I did not make her headband myself, I bought it off Etsy.  And one of my favorite shops of all time for headbands on Etsy is Lou & Lee.  It’s the original felt flower headband shop.  The ORIGINAL people!!  So much cuteness to choose from!  I recently worked with them on their new logo design….and here she is!  I had so much fun with this one!  Hope you like it too.  Happy Monday!

ANI BIKINIS LOOKBOOK

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

Ok, so I finally get to share this with you!  Over the last 2 weeks I have been working with my friend Ani from ANI Bikinis in creating a lookbook for her newest collection of bikinis…Spring/Summer 2012 Love Street Collection! So fun! Aren’t they cute!? My fav is the bowtie bandeau!  Ani and I have been friends since high school.  Ever since I have known her she has been a bikini lover (and legit surfer)…so it’s no surprise that she has chosen designing them as a career path.  SO proud of her!  Her website is currently under a major overhaul, so for now, check her out on TUMBLR & ETSY.

What made designing this lookbook so easy were the INCREDIBLE photos by Sarah Shreves! Yeesh! That girl is good.  You can check out the full lookbook in high resolution HERE.

Also, FYI, something fun is coming to blog blog tomorrow so hurry back!

BABY SHOWER ADDITION

Monday, March 12th, 2012

Hey guys!  If you remember a while back I posted about the baby shower invitations I designed for my own shower. (yes, I really did design my own invitations, as silly as that might sound!)  Well, I have had a number of requests to customize that invitation for various people so I have decided to add a few more variations to my shop.  This Baby Bird Invitation is the newest variation I have created.  It is available on my ETSY….and as always, colors are customizable to the scheme of your shower.  Also check out my Baby Bear Invitation.  This one is more woodland inspired and would be great to celebrate a little boy on the way.  All of these invitations come full package, meaning I print them for you….but they are also available as digital files only for those of you who prefer to print on your own!

On a side note…it was kind of a sad day for me when I realized that google decided to discontinue Google Friend Connect from all non-blogger websites/blogs.  That would be me (notice my  friend connect widget no longer on my sidebar).  It disappeared about a week ago.  I thought it was just a glitch until I did a bit more research and realized it was never coming back.  Boohoo!   So all of my near 1,000 followers on that platform…poof, gone.  But hopefully that’s not the reality and those of you who followed me on GFC are still here reading!  And if you ARE….be sure to head over to BLOGLOVIN….and follow me there.  I am kind of bummed that google made that decision as I know GFC was really popular for most blogging platforms, so I don’t really understand why they would get rid of it?  Anyway…i’m sure there are a number of you out there who had the same thing happen….but we will pick ourselves up and move on right! haha.  Really, it’s not the end of the world…just kind of a disappointment.

Here’s to a happier Monday!

JEDIDIAH FALL FAVORITES

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

Here are  some new tee shirt designs now for sale at JEDIDIAH!   (one of my favorite girls graphic collections to date!)  I designed “Bows” and “Lost at Sea”.  ”Woven” designed by Wesley Bird .  Can you tell I like designing in just one color!?! Haha….with tees, sometimes simple is better.  These are my top three favorites of the moment. LOST AT SEA was a fun one to create.  I’m usually not a skull kind of girl, but  I thought incorporating the leaf pattern helped to feminize it a bit, and I really love the way it turned out.  I thought it would make for a pretty cool halloween stamp too! Maybe next year. Visit the STORE for more!

Proceeds from each tee will be benefitting an organization we are partnered with for the season called StandUp for Kids - a national non-profit whose mission is to improve the lives of homeless teenagers and at risk youth. This money specifically will be used to help fund a brand new StandUp For Kids homeless center in New York City.  Join us in helping make a difference!
