MARANON

Friday, May 7th, 2010

Lorena Barriento is the genius behind MARANON jewelry.  I just recently stumbled across her work while looking for a gift on Etsy…and needless to say, I feel in love.  She painstakingly embroiders each necklace, earring, and brooch by hand!  Using embroidery floss to weave smooth geometric patterns into bold shapes of various sizes.  The backs of her necklaces are lined with lace to give it that small feminine touch.  What a perfect combination!  Don’t you want just every piece!!?

ANDREW BANNECKER

Monday, April 26th, 2010

When I first saw this Bat for Lashes poster, I just HAD to find out who the artist was.  It was none other than uber-talented designer Andrew Bannecker.  His style combines polished vector shapes with aged textures and fine lines.  And his choice of color is always delicious.  A collector of old ephemera and just about anything wood and metal, Andrew creates beautiful art that captures the imagination and tells a story.

Check out his BLOG for his most recent projects as well as his SHOP to purchase one of his prints!
