CHARMAINE OLIVIA

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

I am LOVING the artwork of Charmaine Olivia !!  She is a self taught artist residing in San Francisco’s sunny Mission District.  I think SOMEONE likes drawing ships and indians possibly as much as I do!  So inspiring….

ANI BIKINIS

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

One of my best friends ANI just launched her new line of swimwear!  I am so stinking proud of her! She is following her dream and actually making it happen!  She just had her first full blown fashion show to promote her collection on the deck of the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, CA.  She shared the runway with designer Amanda Nicole who revealed an adorable assortment of beach casual coverups and dresses.  The show went on without a hitch and a ton of people came out to support them.  Check out the rest of ANI’S bikinis and pics from the fashion show on her BLOG.

This is a little something I drew up for her to display at the event.  The character is wearing one of my favorite suits in ANI’S collection! A sweet turquoise eyelet one piece.  I want it! Contact Ani if you are interested in one of her bikinis!

ALL DOLLED UP

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

This last week has been a whirlwind of sketches.  Lots of freelance projects in the works (which is why I have been slightly neglecting my blog)!  Here is an illustration I drew up today. Not for anything in particular at all.  Just because I’ve been working too much and miss getting “all dolled up”.

Although I am really looking forward to tomorrow’s photo sesh with my dear friend SARAH SHREVES….speaking of getting all dolled up.  I am finally putting together my lookbook.nu profile.  It’s been far too long in the waiting.  I’ll be sure to post some of my favs in the coming weeks.

MELISSA CASTRILLON

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

I recently came across the  lovely artwork of MELISSA CASTRILLON.  She is a freelance illustrator and Designer from Cambridge, England.  I love the sketchy nature of her work…the fine lines and soft color palette. More and more I seem to be leaning toward softer muted hues when it comes to artwork (including my own).  It may be just a phase I am in…but I am LOVING it.  Yet another “illustration inspiration”.

You can browse more of this goodness on Melissa’s FLICKR.
