My heart of the week is GHOSTPATROL from Melbourne Australia.

A self taught artist, Ghostpatrol has moved from the field of stencil art to exhibit his drawing based creations worldwide. He currently resides in Melbourne at his ‘Mitten Fortress’ studio. His work ranges form fine ink drawing, street-art, commissioned murals and soft sculpture.

He sculpts, paints, draws and sews….sounds a little bit like someone else i know ;)

GP works with whatever media he can find or afford to purchase including spray cans, paper, pens, markers, wood, clay and so on. His pen and ink drawings are delicate and meticulous in detail…

You can browse his available work in his SHOP

…here is a glimpse into his studio.

Just yesterday my WEDDING was featured on one of my all time favorite wedding blogs Green Wedding Shoes!!  (Thank you Jen!)  And it got me all wrapped up in the world of wedding blogs again!  I wanted to share one incredible designer that I found while planning my own wedding months ago…meet  Sarah Seven.

I know Sarah has already gotten a ton of “blog love”…..but I am such a huge fan i thought it only right to add to the admirers and give her some props myself!  I first discovered her breathtaking designs a while back on ETSY while searching for bridesmaids dresses.  Her work is the perfect combination of structure, detail, delicacy, and romance.  Perfect  for a fancy rehearsal dinner get-up, bridemaid’s dresses…..or even the bride herself!  After much loathing…I actually saved up enough to purchase one my very own (the tulip dress in soft peach) to wear as my “exit” dress on my wedding day.  I must say, it is even more beautiful in person.

Sarah’s designs can be purchased on her ETSY store (although I think this girl is swimming in silk by now due to her recent popularity…the waiting list for a custom dress is understandably pretty long)

Meet my friend and fellow artist Jeremy Asher Lynch.  His work continues to amaze me!  He is a video editor by day and an artist by night….and one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.  Here are just a few samples of his most recent paintings. We are currently working together in turning some of this artwork into t-shirt graphics for Jedidiah’s Spring 2010 line….so stay tuned for that!  Also, check out his FEATURE in Drift Surfer Magazine and his BLOG to see what else he’s been brewing up lately.

I just finished the save the date postcard for my good friends Molly and Donovan who are getting married in June.  Simple and sweet.  If anyone is interested in having me do a custom “save the date” or invitation…let me know!

I recently stumbled across the work of Portland based designer KATE POWERS.

One word: Stunning. Piece by piece, everything she creates is produced in her Portland studio.  Kate is self-taught and her designs are incredible.  Although most of her work is custom designs for particular clients,  you can find some of her gorgeous creations on ETSY or in her Portland store, Seaplane.
