I have to admit, I have a bit of a girl crush on Clare Owen…..girls got style AND she can draw. Somehow her illustrations make me think of a lazy day with my cat. Sweet and simple.
“Ladybeard” is my current screensaver. I don’t think I will ever get sick of it.
A modern boutique with a vintage touch. This store is packed with adorable items that are ALL super affordable (gotta love that). I am all about their jewelry!
This store is chalk full of unique and inspiring finds, all handmade by various designers. I am partial to the artwork and paper goods available on the site, but really…all of it is wonderful.
This just might be my favorite. Poppytalk Handmade is a monthly online street market created to showcase, buy and sell handmade goods of emerging design talent from around the world. There is so much “goodness” on this site one could spend HOURS browsing through it all. So if you don’t have HOURS to waste….don’t click HERE.
My good friends at SEZIO were loaned an old abandoned home in North Park last week (a.k.a : The Boat House)…and what better idea than to get a bunch of artists together to cover it’s walls! It was fun to paint large scale again and to catch up with old art friends. I wasn’t sure what to paint with it being so last minute…so I pulled out my latest sketch and had at it.
To celebrate the end of The Boat House Era, Sezio hosted an art show / concert on Friday the 12th. Musical acts included The Paddle Boat, Black Mamba & Dr. Popsicle. Here are some pics of the event. Live video soon to come!
ARTISTS included: Mike Maxwell, Neko, Exist 1981, Tocayo, Kelli Murray, Brent Sandor, Carly Ealey, Wes Bruce, Sean & Stacy Kelley, Sean Ward and Jane Weibel (“Lurk Hard” by Mr. Sam Larson)
It’s a little too worm for winter in San Diego, but I just love my hat! My husband gave it to me for my birthday in December and he thinks I never wear it. But it is one of those hats you really can’t wear more than like once every two weeks. Otherwise everyone will know you as that funny hat girl. So I wear it selectively…and it makes me happy when I do. Thanks Sam. Here is an illustration in ode to my furry hat….if only it came with the antlers.
