Amber Dress c/o Flynn Skye  /  Free People Straw Hat  /  Fringe Bag c/o Linea Pelle  /  Sandals – F21

It’s no secret I’ve got a big crush on Flynn Skye.  I got to meet the designer Amber at a party a couple weeks ago and she was just as wonderful in person as I expected.  Her dresses are so comfortable and relaxed and the prints are always on point.  They are pieces that can easily be dressed up or down and can be worn from day to night.   I’ve got a few of her dresses, like this one, that just might last me through this entire pregnancy!  I have yet to buy a shred of maternity this summer, and hopefully I can keep it that way!

I was able to have what the doctor’s call a “growth ultrasound” last week.  It’s basically an ultrasound making sure that the baby’s growth is on track.  Last pregnancy, they had some concerns over Rylee’s growth and my small belly size….so anytime there is a history of that, I guess they do this extra 30 week ultrasound.  I certainly didn’t mind the chance to see my little guy moving around on the screen again!  He was so much bigger than my last ultrasound at 20 weeks.  So big, it was actually hard to see him.  I did get a few photos of his sweet face though, making me that much more excited to meet him and hold him in my arms!  Results came back totally normal and he was already measuring in the fifty second percentile.  Just above average! I don’t necessarily know what average is…but I was pretty excited that everything looked healthy and that he was growing so good.  It’s pretty insane to think that in just 8 short weeks we will become a family of four!

You look so wonderful. That dress is amazing. I’m super impressed you haven’t bought any maternity clothes.

What a wonderful thing to see your growing son this late in the pregnancy. I was so disappointed when my Dr told me that we’d only have one ultrasound as long as everything was ok otherwise. I wanted to see him more often! I am so, so glad everything is looking good with Cru. I hope these last 8 weeks go smoothly. I also really, really hope you’ve been feeling better lately. You deserve a break! If you’re up for it, I’d love to see a post on the differences between your two pregnancies. I know some of your allergies (right?) went away when you were pregnant with Rylee, I was kinda curious if any came back or if any other negatives went away with this one and just kind of how it was different overall. I hear every pregnancy can be completely different but I’m curious about real-life experiences. :-)

Kelli! I don’t know how you do it. Look so amazing all the time that is.

32 weeks.. That came around so quickly! I had a growth scan when I was pregnant with Hugo as I was so tiny, but he was always perfectly sized. My last pregnancy I was also tiny, but my midwife was so amazing she could tell Cleo was a good sized just with her hands. I did kinda wish I could have had another scan though.

That transition from 3 to 4 is just as easy as the transition from 2 to 3. I remember so clearly our last meal as a family of 3 (mostly because I knew it was the last ). It’s funny because I remember wondering how that new little person would fit into our family, and I felt sad that it would no longer be just the 3 of us. Now when I think about that meal I feel sad, because Cleo wasn’t there with us, but happy because she just slotted right in like she was always there xo

Hi Kelli! You look gorgeous. :) I have a quick question and a fellow platinum blonde, do you color your hair when pregnant? I can’t find anything that says it is terrible but I want to ask a human and not the internet. :)

haha! Hi Anne! Yes, I do. I touch up my roots every 5 weeks. I didn’t change anything in my regimen. I heard some warnings about it too, but for the most part, I think it’s overboard. I know a ton of preggo ladies that still color it :) Just do it in a ventilated space.
